Struggles for power and money in the old Pisa toward the fourteenth century. The merchants trade with the most prestigious families of the city to obtain the highest profit. The Tower-houses, the main squares of the city, and the shops represent opportunities for extra profit. Who will became the richest merchant? Players buy tiles to build the city. They use their merchants to trade with four families represented by shields of different colors printed on the tiles.

Each time a district is completed, players receive their revenues, depending on the prestige of the families in that district and from other factors such as special buildings and shops. The player who earns the most money at the end of the game is the winner!
